HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

May 13, 2012

Today has been AWESOME! So apparently Harley inherited some talent for creating cute paper goods. When I woke up this morning Harley surprised me with this beautiful flower and vase that he made (with his dad’s help). I LOVE it so much! They did such a great job. I just had to take some pictures of it. I also included a picture of the card I made my mom. Love you Mom. Wishing a Happy Mother’s Day to all of you mothers out there! It’s not the easiest or most glamorous job out there, but SO worth it!

Cute Family…

May 12, 2012

So Jeff and his wife, Tori, were down to visit and I had the chance to take a few pics of them and their darling daughter, Alex. She is SO cute and has a contagious smile. I had a fun time trying to come up with different ways to make her laugh. One of my favorite moments of the day was when a fly landed on her nose… she didn’t like that too much but it made for a fun face. Here are a few pictures of them. Happy Saturday.

We made cupcakes. Harley and I had so much fun making these cupcakes and the pennants that went on top. Harley is really good at gluing things and mixing stuff, and I can crack an egg with one hand and I’m a wiz with scissors, together we make quite the team! We made them for a very special reason… My sister, Hilaree, graduated from ASU’s nursing school. She has her BSN. So cool. Congratulations Hilaree! Hope you liked your cupcakes. Yummy.

SO, remember when it was a really big deal if you went to Prom and the excitement of the dress, dinner and all? It all came back to me this weekend when I had the privilege of taking Prom photos for my brother-in-law and his friends. They all looked great! Here’s a few so you can see. Happy Monday!

So, a couple weeks ago we got to go visit some of my family that lives in the Washington D.C. area. While in D.C. we had tons of fun. Harley got the chance to play with all of his cousins that live out East… There are eight of them… and I got to hang out with my older siblings whom I see about once a year. We had so much fun seeing many sights including The White House, the Baltimore Aquarium, the National Zoo in D.C., The Natural History Museum and the beautiful cherry blossoms. We ate a 112 oz. shake as a family, tons of other wonderful food and almost became food ourselves. We were practically eaten by a giant shark… scary! At the zoo Harley got to roar with the Tiger and now he “roars like a tiger” all the time. Love! It was a blast to see Harley hang out with his cousins. He has two cousins that are very close to him in age and they really had a good time together. We miss all the “Easterners” already. We got to hang out with these guys…And these guys…And I even scored a few photos of our own little family! (It was raining that day… but I think that’s fun.) Have a great week!

Happy Easter!

April 8, 2012

Easter is such a good holiday! I love the true meaning of Easter and celebrating the resurrection of Christ. Almost every year we make it a point to go to the Easter Pageant and watch the life of Christ portrayed in that play. (The photo is from http://www.lds.org/church/news/mesa-easter-pageant-teaches-of-christ?lang=eng). So pretty! I also really like the festivities. Harley and I have had fun this year preparing for Easter. We spent an entire morning making fun cards for all of Harley’s cousins. He put the stickers on “All by myself” (With Mom’s help). We also went to a fun service project where Harley and lots of other children got to make easter presents for the children’s hospital. We also colored and decorated Easter eggs. Honestly that wasn’t very fun. Harley kept breaking eggs and dumping the dye out everywhere… BUT we did end up with some AWESOME eggs! Harley really loves his eggs. He tried a hard boiled egg for the first time, he’s not a fan. Happy Easter to all! Harley was insistent that we make an “egg with Harley on it”… so we did. I think it may be his favorite egg ever.

Michael and Marissa

April 2, 2012

Michael and Marissa are married! Well, they have been for about 2 weeks… I flew to D.C. for a long vacation about nine hours after the reception was over so I am super happy to finally get to post some of their photos now that I am home. I had SO much fun shooting these two on their wedding day! Their wedding ceremony was beautiful and you could feel the love of friends and family and the love between the two of them. I have been really excited to shoot this wedding ever since the first time I met Marissa. She is just beautiful and sweet and I knew this was gonna be a good wedding! It was. So, Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day. Enjoy, Happy Monday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARLEY!

March 14, 2012

Happy Birthday to my sweet boy Harley! I love you… and I had to post these fun pics of you playing in the water outside… so that everyone can see how cute and fun you are! Happy Birthday to my guy!Harley had so much fun jumping in a puddle and drinking out of the hose. He is so much fun!

Had the chance a few days ago to shoot with this awesome family. Here they are… the Lindbloms. They were here visiting from Washington and their kids were really feeling the traveling blues. As we first met their son was giving me the stink eye and their cute daughter was so sad. I may have felt a bit worried about the outcome of that afternoon. I hoped it would work out ok, it normally does…and with the help of Mom and Dad’s funny faces, a bit of singing by yours truly and bubbles, it did. We had some fun! Their little boy is just a few months older than mine and I loved seeing the cute things he did. It also made me feel better about my son and the odd things he does. Apparently that’s all normal. Here are a few for you to see. AND… you may be able to tell which spot we shot in that I loved most. :) Hope you have a Happy Monday!

Night Lights

March 3, 2012

I love looking at city lights. Lights are beautiful. I love how they seem so peaceful even though in the city they are where the buzz and night life are happening. Israel and I used to go up onto a nearby mountain and sit and look at the city lights. So fun. I caught this pretty photo of Mesa last night on my way home. Love it.
